Julia Glapińska – Chair of the Board of the Hydrogen Institute
Piotr Rudyszyn – expert at the Hydrogen Study Group

The prospects for hydrogen transport in Poland.

- The ‘Green Hydrogen Challenge’, an initiative launched by the Hydrogen Study Group. At the start of spring, they set a Polish range record in a hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai – 800 km on a single tank, travelling from Zakopane to Hel. They used energy recovery techniques during the journey. The driver’s patience was also crucial. More on this during the panel discussion.

- Proposals to amend the law regarding the obligation for costly cylinder inspections in hydrogen vehicles.

The role of unmanned underwater systems in the energy sector.

An overview of the general role of ROVs and AUVs in the energy industry (resource exploration and exploitation, seabed mapping, and reservoir identification).

Monitoring of offshore infrastructure (wind farms, pipelines, cables): methods of inspection, diagnostics and autonomous surveillance.

Case study: underwater robotics in the Baltic Sea (Baltic Power wind farm) and the scientific article ‘Joint Optimization of Fleet Size, Localization Infrastructure, and Trajectories for Multi-AUV Persistent Monitoring’.

Seabed exploitation: exploration for new deposits of energy resources and rare earth metals (hydrothermal fields and polymetallic nodules).

Technological challenges: GNSS-free navigation, communication limitations, long-term autonomy and real-time data integration.

Hydrogen Clusters Europe 2026 – Integration, Innovation, Resilience

Hydrogen clusters have become a key driver of regional economic development, concentrating hydrogen production, infrastructure, and downstream industries in integrated hubs. These initiatives not only create high-value jobs across the entire value chain—from production to technology development—but also enable regions to effectively utilize local renewable energy resources.Through close cooperation between industry, research institutions, and public administration, hydrogen clusters strengthen Europe’s technological competitiveness in the field of hydrogen technologies on the international stage. Their integration into a pan-European hydrogen network also promotes the efficient distribution of hydrogen, cost optimization, and increased resilience of the entire system.Hydrogen clusters therefore play a key role not only in stimulating local innovation and creating jobs, but also in building Europe’s long-term energy independence.

Autonomy and modern robotic technologiesserving the energy sector and science.

Booth: C4.40

At our booth, we will showcase selected projects carried out as part of the Club’s activities, including FlySearch and Snow’s Eye.

We will showcase the unmanned aerial vehicle designs we are developing, as well as selected components and technological solutions used in their design and construction.

We will provide an overview of the scope of our design and research work, from the concept stage, through development and testing, to the implementation of finished solutions.

We will present both completed projects and systems currently under development to demonstrate the nature of teamwork and the practical application of knowledge in the fields of aviation, new technologies, and unmanned systems.

Our goal is to introduce the Club’s activities and show how we carry out advanced engineering projects in an academic setting.
